The final report of the TOU Pricing project for the Swiss Federal Office of Energy is now available at


The aim of this study was to understand the systemic effect of introducing time-varying tariffs, demand-response schemes and decentralised storage (in particular by exploiting electric vehicles). The social acceptability of both these mechanisms has been carefully taken care of by rolling out a survey aiming at measuring the willingness of the residential sector to enrol in demand-response and/or decentralised storage schemes.
